Grants for Participants to the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry

The Organizing Committee of the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry is pleased to announce its fellowship program to support people who wish to attend the congress on-site or online. This program is made possible thanks to our generous sponsors and partners.
 

   1. Grants for French Residents (OFQJ) – Up to 500 €

All French residents between 18 and 35 years old who wants to attend the congress, whether they have a presentation or not, are invited to apply for grants for student mobility and professional development by the Office franco-québécois pour la jeunesse (OFQJ).

   2. Grants for Québec Residents and the Francophonie (excluding Europe) (LOJIQ) – Up to 650 CAD + Transportation

The Offices jeunesses internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ) support the youth between the ages of 18 to 35 from Québec and some countries of the Francophonie (sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and the West Indies) in their participation in the congress. Those grants aim to support student mobility, career development and the fight against climate change.

Announcement of grantees by: March 31st, 2022

 

   3. General Support Grants – Up to 3 000 CAD

Priority will be given to applicants according to the following criteria, in order:

· Presenter status:
Applicants who have a presentation (oral, poster or short video, no order of priority) during the congress will be prioritized over applicants who only wants to attend the congress

· Inadmissibility to LOJIQ and OFQJ grants:
Applicants who do not meet LOJIQ and OFQJ criteria will be prioritized

· Economic status of country of origin:
Applicants from low-income and lower-middle-income countries will be prioritized

· Students:
Students (or young researchers with a precarious financial situation) are prioritized – Proof required

· Financial needs:
According to the budget and justifications presented in the application
